Founded by bass player Paul Reuter, guitarist J.C. ‘Kuji’ Kujawa and singer-guitarist Claude ‘Baba’ Pintsch, the Michael Shepherd Band recorded their first 5-track demo CD in 1998, featuring Jean-Claude Klosen on drums.
Their music, which can best be described as melodic guitar rock, has its roots in the late seventies and mid eighties. This is underlined by the omnipresence of the twin guitar attack, a truly faithful reminiscence of classic rock once staged by bands like Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Bad Company and Great White.
With a perfect blend of British, blues and southern rock the Michael Shepherd Band follows the tradition of heartfelt song writing and honest sweat drenched live performances, whether they hit the big stage or are just one step away from the audience in a club.
After 2 years on the road the Michael Shepherd Band released their first lull length album in May 2003.
Again the band proved their commitment to solid guitar playing coupled with powerful lyrics.
With songs ranging from straightforward stadium rock to bluesy shuffles, acoustic ballads or even orchestral arrangements, the Michael Shepherd Band underlines once more their striving for variety without losing their identity.
With new drummer Lupo Ludowicy on-board and each one having far over a decade of live playing and recording experience, the Michael Shepherd Band is more than ever ready to deliver the goods and do what they do best: ROCK!
