Short Biography:
After Alex saw himself forced to discontinue his work with the SCHWITZENDE
SCHWEINE due to internal problems with the lead singer Josy J., he began
looking for possible candidates for a new project.
In August he was invited by Claude Michels to give an interview to the
recent developments concerning the SCHWITZENDE SCHWEINE at a local radio
station in Medernach. During this interview, Alex announced his decision
to continue the project and that he was looking for new band members. Claude
himself was very interested in this offer. During a brainstorming concerning
the new project, Alex got to know Jerry Faber as well, who proved to be
equally as interested in the project as his friend Claude. The name SCHWEINEPEST
was unanimously chosen to replace the former band name, yet they all agreed
to keep the music more or less in the same vein as before. Alex wanted
to do something similar to early Front242. First cut to be recorded was
"Todeshunde", to be released on this compilation.
Everybody was more than happy with the outcome of that recording and
so it was agreed to continue to write and record new material and possibly
even play a live debut show in the near future.
